Hi there, my name is Meghan Briestansky. I'm here to come alongside you, and help you create your best self. We'll work together to build greater self-awareness and self-compassion that ultimately will equip you to go forth confidently with others in the world. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Missouri, as well as a Professional School Counselor (K-12, PSC) in North Carolina.
I graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelor’s in Psychology in 2012 and continued on to receive a Master’s in School and Mental Health Counseling from Missouri Baptist University in 2014. Since, I've gained years of experience working with children, adolescents, families and educators in Missouri, Pennsylvania, & North Carolina.
I believe we have multiple anchors that ground us (physical, emotional, mental, spiritual). Once you and I spend some initial time together, we can identify which of those anchors is pulling you out of alignment. I then choose a counseling approach that best fits your personal needs. I've seen success in using approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral, Solution-Focused and Person-Centered because they're individualized and focus on connectedness. Your thoughts, your feelings and your choices all work together and we can use them for good- to set and achieve your goals. You are an essential individual, part of our world’s larger system. I want to come alongside you to ensure you go forth with an inner strength to our larger world!
I am available for telehealth services only, for Missouri individuals and families, ages 8+.
