Hello, my name is Stephanie Loesch.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Missouri and a Nationally Certified School Psychologist. I have a Master of Arts degree in Counseling, a Master of Education degree in Educational Psychology, and an Educational Specialist degree in School Psychology. As an Adjunct Faculty instructor at UMSL, I have taught graduate classes in counseling and undergraduate class in education. I have presented at medical conferences on trauma and psychological first aid, as well as published an article on adolescent development. I also work in schools conducting testing for educational disabilities.

Since 2001, I have provided counseling to adults and children. A vital aspect of mental health involves the freedom to be ourselves and to be comfortable in our own skin. I offer a transparent approach that helps clients to experience this self-confidence. I help clients to see that their struggles do not make them unlovable.

Many of my clients have experienced trauma or abuse. I help individuals understand that although these experiences impact our story, they are not the end of our story and do not have to become our entire identify. At the same time, incredible healing can happen when we share our experiences and stories in a safe place. I find fulfillment in walking along side of people as they embrace their own strength, are surprised by their resilience, and live their life to the fullest.

“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside of you.” Maya Angelou
