Kristen Stoff, PLPC

I strive to create a safe and supportive environment for all my clients where a collaborative and goal-oriented relationship can develop. I assist people in increasing awareness of themselves and facilitate their journey towards healing, growth, understanding and peace.

I am passionate about working with children, adolescents, and adults offering individual, family and couples counseling who are experiencing life transitions or difficult seasons of life accompanied with symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma, and/or behavioral and mood disturbances. I enjoy working with individuals who are navigating life’s challenges in various life stages and from different backgrounds.

I am dedicated to the well-being of my clients as I practice professional counseling utilizing an integrative approach. I have advanced training in Christian counseling, family systems, and CBT. I consider each client’s unique context and cultural (e.g., race, gender, SES, community, spirituality) background and integrate these constructs into treatment.

I received a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adler University, School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Webster University. I have completed Crisis and Trauma Informed training, Protecting God’s Children, through the Archdiocese of the Catholic Church, and Executive Functioning Skills Training through RUSH Hospital in Chicago, IL. I am currently an American Counseling Association member and have served on various young professional board of directors in the community related to mental health. I have four years of experience serving clients in community mental health, hospital, and private practice settings.
