Hi there, My name is Josh Dix. I am a therapist in St. Louis, primarily serving adults and couples struggling with a wide range of issues, including things like relationships, work stress, and the difficulties of daily life.

My philosophy is pretty simple. I listen. I treat you with dignity. I take an active part in helping you heal and gain insights. And I always check in to see what I can do better for you.  You’re the customer and it’s your journey.

My own life has been a wild and often very difficult ride. I’ve seen plenty of therapists over the course of my life, too. Some of that has been “meh,” and some of it was life changing. A counseling relationship doesn’t have to be stiff, boring, or a waste of money. What it needs to be is authentic, safe, and insightful.

My approach: I am a big believer in schema therapy, which takes a holistic look to how our relationships/attachment styles, nervous system, and thinking patterns influence how we live. Through that lens, I help people from all walks of life work through issues like: anxiety and depression, work burnout and career malaise, men’s issues, relationship struggles, grief, loneliness, marriage and family issues, trauma, addiction, infertility and faith/religion. I also use my 20 years of business leadership to coach executives and train leaders
