Hello, my name is Kaitlyn Brown. I am passionate about working with college students/twenty somethings, adults, couples, and fellow healers. Some of my specialties include working with LGBTQ+ persons, those with sensory sensitives/highly sensitive persons (HSPs), those experiencing familial and relationship concerns, life transitions, difficulties with body acceptance, mood regulation, depression, and anxiety.
I bring a collaborative, conversational, kind yet direct approach to therapy. I believe that change happens one step at a time and that by developing a deep understanding of yourself (i.e. your hopes, needs, motivations, emotions, and roles within your environments), you can bring long-term empowerment and healing. My clients have expressed that by having the room to really examine these aspects, they’ve been able to develop a version of their themselves and their lives they feel proud of.
I utilize aspects of Internal Family Systems (IFS), Relational Therapy, and attachment-based theories. I also hold a certification in Gottman Couples Therapy. I have worked both in community mental health and private practice where I have served a variety of ages and concerns.
I invite you to experience with me the power of understanding your capacity to feel and becoming a fuller you.
