Emily Wesley, PLPC

Life can be confusing — sometimes you can't quite explain why you're struggling; you just know you're tired of feeling this way. Maybe anxiety has you overthinking and trying to control every detail. Maybe ADHD makes it exhausting to keep up with a world that seems built for a different brain. Or maybe depression has made the things you used to enjoy feel out of reach, and you've lost touch with who you are beneath the stress, expectations, and responsibilities. Whatever brought you here, something in you is ready for things to feel different.
You want a quieter mind—to understand yourself better, feel more connected to who you are, and who you want to be. You want practical tools that fit your life, not advice that sounds good on paper but doesn't work for you. And you want a space where you can say the things you usually keep to yourself and feel understood, not judged or reduced to a diagnosis.
That's the space I want to create with you. I bring warmth, compassion, honesty, directness, and a healthy sense of humor. I'm a therapist, but also a person navigating life alongside everyone else. I won't pretend to have all the answers or treat you like a problem to fix. We're not meant to carry everything alone—let's figure it out together.
I work with adults, college students, teens (15+), and older adults navigating challenges related  to anxiety, depression, life transitions, burnout, relationships, self-esteem, stress, identity, emotional regulation, ADHD and neurodivergence, codependency, sleep/insomnia, grief, substance use, trauma, and other personal or societal stressors. I am also committed to supporting individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and historically marginalized communities, including BIPOC individuals, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, individuals with disabilities, and those facing socioeconomic barriers. My approach is integrative and tailored to each client's unique needs, drawing from Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Existential Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
