Hello my name is Mya! As a therapist, my approach is rooted in a strengths-based, non-pathological and holistic approach, as I believe that it’s important to meet the client where they’re at and honor their life experiences. I am here to provide a safe and supportive space that allows you to feel seen, heard and understood. Life is challenging, and I believe that we are all capable of allowing our resilience to guide us through our biggest hurdles. I strive to be an empathetic sounding-board for clients, and I hope that our experience together allows you to reconnect with yourself and discover your strengths.
I utilize a range of evidence-based approaches including Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches to name a few. I strive to tailor each session to my client’s unique needs while drawing from my clinical training in couples work, family systems, children/adolescents, and individuals.
